Rip Baseball educates players on the correct ways to attain their specific goals. Our philosophy revolves around responsible ways to improve athletic performance and personal wellness through exercise, nutrition, and proper recovery.
Pitching
One on one work with Derron Spillar, former pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals – a Rip pitching coach. A trainer with real experience that enables him to assess and develop a working plan, establishing goals, and how to achieve them. We’ll work to develop the most efficient and effective body movement and mechanics to maximize both velocity and control – while not losing site of arm care, recovery and injury prevention.
Training provides sound, consistent fundamentals – passion and the burning desire to take it to the next level is what the Rip philosophy cultivates.
Hitting
Work with a Rip trainer, dissecting the swing and creating a plan specifically for each individual player – as each has characteristics that must be considered. Once a hitter has command of the fundamentals: bat speed, bat control, pitch selection and consistency, Rip creates showcase power hitters.
Catching
The catcher is paramount – Rip Baseball is proud to have one of the most experienced, arguably best catching instructors available. Josh Power-Gomez will train in catching fundamentals, mechanics, and nuances of the game that scouts look at as differentiators. Advanced training goes-to set up, approach, movement, transfers, footwork, throws, and receiving. Things like pop-to-pop timing for throw-downs.
Rip gives the player an understanding of what’s expected, and how to get to the next level – one that wins ball games.
Defensive
Individual one on one instruction with Rip instructors working the athlete’s specific position. Advanced training goes-to set up, approach, movement, transfers, footwork, throws, and receiving. Rip gives the player an understanding of what’s expected, and how to get to the next level – one that wins ball games.
